Welcome to SigaSiga Sands Boutique Resort in Fiji!

SigaSiga is pronounced singa-singa, like singing a song. This is the original native name for the property meaning Sunshine

There are so many beautiful places on earth. So why visit SigaSiga Sands? For starters, Fiji escaped the industrial revolution so we've got one of the cleanest environments in the world with a tropical climate that rarely leaves the 18-31°C / 70-85°F. Then there's the Fijian people! Untethered by the materialistic thinking of the "developed" world, the people here are happy and friendly beyond your imagination! Many Travel Guides claim Fijians are the friendliest people on earth. We couldn't agree more!

Right on the beach, tranquil and simple. Loved going for morning and evening walks along the beach. Disliked that the keys to the door was quite stiff and often get stuck. Could look to renovate/update things. I wish there was a centralised reception area for check in, dining, and storing equipment (kayaks/snorkels)

This was a really nice stay in Fiji. We stayed for 6 nights in late August. Great to arrive and wind down. Communication before was great, we got a lot of helpful tips about flights and transfers. The place is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The whole area is big, well maintained and only with 4 bungalows (all different sizes). It is a great place to stay for longer, as you can also cook for yourself. You can also order food [Read more...]

  • Worth it and more

It was worth its weight in gold. Everything was great

  • Ideal if you want space to yourself for a couple of days tops but not suitable if you’re looking to meet other traveller

Plenty of space and suitable furniture for enjoying and bathing in the sun. Taxi service to the airport  was on-time. I stayed in the smallest bure (I forget the name) and the bed could have been better; the mattress kept slipping off to the side and the pillows made their way out of their pillow cases. So a bit more could be done to improve sleeping in that bure.

  • A Highlight of our trip
    April 2023Steve(Canada)

The Seashell bure has been recently renovated and has a fully equipped kitchen. Excellent washroom shower facility, comfortable bed, lovely view of sunrise in morning, great unrestricted views of the ocean from the balcony, pleasant ocean breeze kept us cool (didn't need the air con at all), reasonable wifi. Excellent, reasonably priced homemade Indo-Fijian food available from very pleasant and accommodating hosts. Very good kayaks [Read more...]

Very nice location, there is a double reef and they provide kayaks and snorkelling gear. The housekeeper is very friendly and available to help you. We had airport pick-up and drop-off. Bablu took us to the Vuadomo village and rainfall for a fair price. The cottage has everything you need.

Disliked that the hot water was broken and it couldn’t be repaired since we stayed during Easter. It wasn’t their fault but we still took cold [Read more...]

Why Savusavu?

Vanua Levu is Fiji's second largest island. Here, you will enjoy water falls, adventure tours, locally caught fresh fish, free range non-GH beef, organic fruits and vegetables, bus, taxi and ferry services with plenty of open country to roam. And, of course, the friendly villagers waving "Bula!" to passersby.

Savusavu town sets on one of the largest bays in the South Seas, providing safe harbour for boats from around the world and great fisheries. It's a small town yet offers enough diversity in shopping and restaurants so you won't feel totally isolated. Visit the Savusavu Yacht Club for some grub and a drink. You're sure to make a friend and hear some fantastic stories from these brave, adventurous travellers and other ex-pats who call this home.

This quaint, friendly town is where Fijians, ex-pats and tourists all gather for their goods, services and entertainment. The large concentration of freehold lands here has attracted a large, diverse community of ex-pats from around the world. From young retirees settling full time to those with second homes, we are a friendly and active bunch. Savusavu is known as "The Hidden Paradise". "Ooooh", Fijians from around the country say, "Savusavu is the TRUE Paradise!"

Fiji Resort Location

We're in the middle of nowhere. But we are somewhere. Just 10 minutes from Savusavu (SVU) airport and another 5 minutes to town along the little travelled, tar-sealed Hibiscus highway. Conveniently located reasonably near restaurants, Fiji resorts and services yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Guests most often comment about how quiet, relaxing and peaceful it is here.

Your Front Yard: The panoramic view includes grassland, tall swaying palms, and, of course, the gorgeous pacific ocean with the World class snorkeling park. Some SigaSiga snorkelers say this Lagoon is better than many scuba dives! Also, the calm, natural swimming lagoon is only 5-10 minute walk down the beach. Bring your beach towels, pool floats and Esky ice chest (all provided) and enjoy the clean, warm pacific ocean anytime.

Out Back: Creeks and well maintained Trails meander through 99 acres of pristine wilderness. It's a spectacular, lush world to explore. Exotic birds and flowers thrive here under the high canopy of our SigaSiga Forest Reserve.
